About us

Started in 1973, the Spina Bifida Association of Minnesota is a non-profit organization made up of volunteers.  

Our purpose is to increase awareness about Spina Bifida and enhance the lives of those affected.

The Spina Bifida Association...

• Promotes research into the causes, treatment and prevention of Spina Bifida.
  
• Promotes, encourages, and stimulates the treatment, on-going care, education, socialization, career development and habilitation of people with Spina Bifida.
  
• Promotes the training of competent personnel to aid in the treatment, care, education and adjustment of persons with Spina Bifida.
  
• Promotes public awareness and action by initiating a national effort to inform the public about Spina Bifida.
